You’ve Carried So Much, Now It’s Your Turn to Be Held
Hi, I’m Laura.
I’m a licensed professional counselor, cycle breaker, and proud eldest daughter of immigrants.
From a young age, I felt the pressure to be responsible, to take care of others, and to succeed for my family. Like many of my clients, I became the helper, the one who couldn’t fall apart. But the truth? I was exhausted. It wasn’t until graduate school that I realized I was living for everyone but myself. That’s when I began the work of healing, and everything changed.
Today, I help first- and second-generation professionals, parentified adults, and recovering people-pleasers do the same. Together, we build a new path; one rooted in self-worth, rest, and freedom.
What You Can Expect From Therapy With Me
My style is warm, direct, and deeply supportive. I’ll always hold space for your pain, but I’ll also gently challenge the patterns keeping you stuck. I show up as my full, authentic self so you can do the same.
Therapy with me is a collaboration. You’re the expert on your life, I’m here to help you connect the dots, validate your experiences, and support your growth.
We’ll talk about the hard stuff: family dynamics, sex, self-esteem, boundaries, grief, and burnout. Nothing is off-limits.
How I Work
I draw from a blend of trauma-informed, humanistic, and evidence-based approaches. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, empowering, and tailored to your needs.
Some of the modalities I integrate include:
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Attachment-based work
Mindfulness and insight-oriented techniques
Whether we’re building coping skills or exploring inner child wounds, I make sure every session offers something meaningful, a shift in perspective, a tool to practice, or an “aha” moment.
